Weekly garden schedule

Public sessions for whanau and volunteers. Private production sites like Muriwai, Mihirau, and Grow a Row are managed through vetted placements.

Volunteer access

Start public, then move into supervised garden work

Public sessions are the open entry point. Private-property gardens need registration, approval, and a staff or senior-volunteer buddy so staff locations are not exposed publicly.

Drop-in learner

Can see public teaching sessions only.

Can join public teaching gardens without private-site access.

Registered volunteer

Can see public sessions and their own registration details.

Can be contacted for inductions, preferences, and supervised opportunities.

Approved supervised volunteer

Can see approved buddy sessions, not solo staff locations.

Can help at non-public gardens only when a staff member or senior volunteer is hosting.

Senior volunteer

Can see the private-garden windows they are approved to lead or buddy.

Can host supervised sessions where SKGF has approved the garden and role.

Staff member

Can see assigned sites and check-in requirements through staff tools.

Can work solo where policy allows and can open supervised windows for approved volunteers.

Public pages must not expose staff locations at private gardens.

Private-property sessions should appear only as joinable supervised windows to approved volunteers.

Staff check-ins should confirm safety and attendance without becoming a public location tracker.

Approved buddy windows

Private-site help without public staff tracking

These are examples of supervised windows that can be shown to approved volunteers. Exact private addresses and solo staff check-ins stay inside staff tools.
